China National Heavy Duty Truck Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as ‘Sinotruk’), formerly known as Jinan Automobile Manufacturing General Factory, was founded in 1930, which is the cradle of Chinas heavy-duty vehicle industry. In 1960, it produced Chinas first heavy-duty vehicle, the Yellow River JN150 8-ton truck, ending the history of Chinas inability to produce heavy-duty vehicles. On May 4, 1960, Chairman Mao Zedong inspected Jinan, visited the prototype and gave it high praise. On January 11, 1966, Chairman Zhu De inscribed ‘Yellow River’ in his own handwriting. In the early stages of socialist construction, the ‘Yellow River’ vehicle gained nationwide fame and made significant contributions to the development of the national economy and national defense construction, becoming one of the iconic achievements of the Chinese nations self-reliance and hard work. In 1983, under the care of Comrade Deng Xiaoping, the Austrian Steyr heavy-duty vehicle project was successfully introduced, making it the first domestic enterprise to comprehensively introduce foreign heavy-duty vehicle manufacturing technology. ‘Steyr’ once became a synonym for heavy trucks in China.

In 2007, Sinotruk successfully achieved a red chip listing on the main board in Hong Kong Stock Exchange, making it the first red chip stock in Chinas manufacturing industry to go public and initially establishing a platform for international development. In 2004, a new generation of independently developed heavy-duty trucks was born under the brand name of HOWO, which was introduced to the market in 2005, and achieved production and sales of more than 10,000 units in the same year, which set a new record in the history of Chinas heavy-duty trucks at that time. In 2013, SITRAK series products with independent intellectual property rights were formally introduced to the market, leading the development of China’s heavy-duty vehicle industry. In 2020, a new generation of high-end national brand ‘Yellow River’ heavy-duty trucks was launched globally, leading Chinas heavy-duty trucks to become world-class.

Through continuously improving the ability of truck sales and modification, technical services, spare parts supply,overseas KD assembly. Currently, SINOTRUK INTERNATIONAL has established a comprehensive market network with representative offices in 80 countries and regions around the world, and has more than 300 distributors, 270 service stations (including more than 50 4S stores) and 250 spare parts sales points in the overseas market. Meanwhile,SINOTRUK INTERNATIONAL has established KD assembly plants in 12 countries including Morocco, Nigeria, Malaysia, etc.through technical cooperation and entity investment. Up to now, SINOTRUK products are exported to more than 110 countries and regions,forming the marketing capacity of 90000 units heavy duty truck annually, ,and it ranks the first in China’s heavy duty truck industry for 18 consecutive years. From 2020 to 2022, SINOTRUK INTERNATIONAL exported respectively 30,900, 54,000 and 88,500 units of heavy duty trucks around the world;It is an “Advanced Certification Enterprise” awarded by the National Customs and “AAA level credit enterprise” evaluated by China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products ( CCCME ), it has also been awarded the “Honest Enterprise” by the Chinese custom and “A-level Tax Credit Enterprise” by Jinan State Taxation Bureau. Since 2018, under the new leadership of SINOTRUK, all the staff have conscientiously implemented the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important instruction of ‘striving for the main business without any distraction’, and carried out a series of bold reforms. As a result, new ecology has been created where everyone works passionately, which gave wings to the high-quality development of the company. In 2023, SINOTRUK’s business performance strongly took the lead in the industry, with the annual operating income of 173.1 billion yuan, industrial added value of 19.1 billion yuan, and vehicle sales of 335,000 units. The number of heavy trucks exported reached 130,000 units, bringing SINOTRUK to the top of the heavy truck sector in terms of market share and export. Also in 2023, Sinotruk (Hong Kong) Limited was ranked 385th among the ‘Top 500 Chinese Enterprises’, 197th among the ‘Top 500 Chinese Manufacturing Enterprises’, and 80th among the ‘Top 100 Most Valuable Brands’.
